Amelia is a creative professional whose passion for the arts, graphic design and humanity is tempered only by her addictions to The Office and 1000 piece puzzles. Amelia was born and raised in the Cleveland, Ohio area, and she attended Bay Village Schools, where she cultivated a love for painting and was recognized for some of her work through local and national awards. She began her undergraduate education at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, and she ultimately earned her Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design with a Minor in Information Systems from Loyola University Chicago.
As an undergraduate, Amelia has interned and freelanced for New York City graphic design firm PRO.PEL.LER, and Chicago-based multimedia artist, Tracee Badway. Amelia’s design work for Disney, Discovery Channel and others can be seen on screens everywhere, and her murals and commissioned paintings can be seen on public and private walls in Chicago, Los Angeles and Cleveland. She donates proceeds from custom artwork to raise funds for Equal Justice Initiative, and she creates other custom work for her personal commission business. She now is a data analyst for Accenture where she consults digital operations for large name brands.
Although Amelia’s heart has been with the arts from early on, she is determined to pursue a career that will utilize the strengths of both her left and right brain in order to integrate her creative passions with her analytical and mathematical thinking skills. Amelia’s love for data analysis and data visualization has fueled her interest in how the proper presentation of data in an attractive and comprehensible way can have significant impact on how people understand and absorb information.
